Delhez sheet metal working

Based in Thimister, near Verviers, our family business has been specializing in sheet metal machining for more than 20 years.

We focus especially on shaping machine steel, stainless steel, and aluminium for an exclusively professional clientele. Stéphan Delhez (left of the photo) and his brother, Christophe Delhez (right) are managing the company.

Thanks to our team’s expertise and our state-of-the-art machinery, we can produce custom parts, individually or in large quantities. Punching, bending, surface smoothing, laser cutting, welding, and more: with our equipment, we can manufacture the components you need with extreme precision, whatever the requirements and needs of your industry (construction, industry, energy, environment...).

Our challenge

Sheet metal machining offers you countless possibilities. Our challenge is to make you aware of that.

Our experience gives us a keen understanding of all the possibilities brought by sheet metal machining. We have also realized that many of our customers aren’t aware of these opportunities or don’t fully appreciate their potential.

Accordingly, we aim to develop real partnerships and consultancy-based relationships with our customers so that we can keep them up-to-date about their options in metal machining.

Delhez: a family story

"Either do what others don't, or do what they do, but better..."

This was the motto on which a business-oriented family man founded its company in 1976. Originally a roofer by trade, Nicolas Delhez was looking for a way to shape zinc to improve his roofing projects. He quickly became the primary supplier for his colleagues. Staying true to his motto and constantly reinvesting in new technology allowed the company to grow.

During the 1990s, this growth exploded: three of his six children joined the family business, new buildings were erected, and the production line was completely renovated. Zinc was abandoned to make space for the machining of aluminium, steel, and stainless steel.

Business spirit and the constant search for innovations are key to the success of Delhez!

The Delhez spirit

Optimism, respect, and pride.

These are the qualities that you need to join our team. Today, a total of 40 employees have subscribed to this entrepreneurial spirit. “Our machines are the best on the market, but without our people they are worthless!”

As well as being brothers, Christophe and Stéphan Delhez are united by a shared passion for technology. Ideas start flowing when they're together. Their knowledge of the market allows them to be daring and adventurous as they constantly seek out new machines that can offer custom solutions to their customers.

Our commitment to sustainability

We take care of the environment at every step of our manufacturing chain. The most significant measures include sorting and maximizing the recovery of production waste.

Our ecological approach also encompasses three projects that are completely unrelated to our main business:

Honey

We have set up 8 beehives around the company grounds.

Bees can forage over distances of up to 4 km, acting as the guardians of local biodiversity. And we enjoy many pounds of honey harvested every year!

Fruits

We have planted an orchard spanning 8,000 m² to help protect our regional fruit trees.

Our orchard boasts no fewer than 35 different species. This project aims to rediscover the wealth of regional varieties of fruit, which are far too easily lost to large-scale, standardized productions with less flavour.

Cherries, plums, pears, and apples are harvested and shared among staff members and their families.

Sun

To help protect the environment and save energy, we have installed 1,325 solar panels on the roofs of company buildings, with a total production capacity of 350 kWp.
